Terms of Service

Agreement

By creating a practice in Lekhavo ("the Service"), or by signing in to it, you agree to these terms. If you sign up on behalf of a practice, you confirm you can bind it to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service does

The Service parses bank statements, categorizes and reconciles transactions, posts entries to a double-entry ledger, prepares statements and exports, and gives a practice's clients a portal to review their own records and exchange documents.

It is a tool for professionals. It is not an accounting, audit, taxation, investment or legal advisory service, and nothing it produces is professional advice.

Accounts and access

Sign in with an account you are entitled to use, keep it secure, and do not share it. You are responsible for what is done through your account; tell us promptly if you believe it has been misused.

A practice's owner controls who can access the practice and which clients each person can see, and can remove access at any time. Clients reach only the records their practice shares with them.

We may suspend access that is being used in breach of these terms or in a way that threatens the Service or other users.

Your data and your responsibilities

A practice keeps all rights in the data it uploads and enters. It grants us only the permission needed to store and process that data to provide the Service.

Bank statements and documents contain other people's financial information. The practice confirms it is entitled to process that information and to have us process it on its behalf, including through the service providers named in the privacy policy.

Do not upload material you have no right to, try to reach data that is not yours, interfere with the Service, or use it to break any law that applies to you.

Check what the Service produces

Review the output before you rely on it. Bank statement layouts change without notice, and automated parsing, categorization suggestions and transfer matching can be incomplete or wrong. Lekhavo helps you reconcile, but it does not guarantee that a figure is correct.

The practice remains responsible for the books, statements, filings and advice it prepares with the Service.

Plans, credits and payment

Plans, entity limits and credit prices are as published on the pricing page when you buy. Paid plans are billed annually; credits are prepaid. A purchase is completed when we confirm the UPI or bank transfer against the payment reference you give us.

For a refund request, write to us. We may change prices for future purchases; a change does not affect a plan or credits already paid for.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an as-is, as-available basis, without an uptime commitment. It may be unavailable during maintenance, faults or upgrades.

We may change or discontinue features. Where a change removes something a practice depends on, we will give reasonable notice.

Disclaimer and limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from use of the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.

Ending use

A practice can stop using the Service at any time. On request we will provide an export of its data and then delete it, as described in the privacy policy.

The sections on your responsibilities, disclaimers and liability survive the end of use.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, tell practices directly.
